What I do
Small jobs, honest work, done properly.
The work most contractors won't return a call for is the whole business here. If it keeps a home healthy, it's in the book.

The Tend way
One person. One plan. Done.
Most handyman work fails at the logistics — the phone tag, the no-shows, the drip of separate appointments. The whole point of Tend is to collapse all of that into one clear plan.
Send the list
Use the list builder below, or book a visit directly. Write down every task — nothing is too small, and the small ones bundle beautifully.
Get a plan
Within a business day you'll have a simple work plan: what I'd do, in what order, for what price, on what day. Long lists get grouped so related work happens together, instead of spread across eight separate trips.
Watch it shrink
I show up when I said I would, work the plan top to bottom, tidy as I go, and walk you through everything before I leave. Not right? I make it right.
Book a visit
Know what you need? Get on the calendar.
Pick a day that works and tell me what you're seeing — or add a whole honey-do list and I'll turn it into one plan. I'll confirm by email, usually the same day, and then show up when I said I would.

Who’s behind Tend
Hi, I’m Will.
I’m a dad and a fixer living in Bend, and Tend is exactly what it looks like: one person who shows up on time, does careful work, and treats your home like it matters. No call center, no rotating crew of strangers, no upsell. The person you email is the person on the ladder.
Why the name “Tend”? I look at a home the way you’d tend a garden: a small, steady investment today makes it better to live in now and heads off the costlier repairs down the road.
Tend operates as an Oregon-licensed general contracting business, bonded and insured — with an honest scope. When a job needs a licensed electrician or plumber, I’ll say so and point you to someone good.
Repair over replace
Extending the life of what you already own is the whole ethic.
Small & slow fixes
Steady care now beats emergency repairs later.
Leave it better
Tidy site, documented work, no trace but the fix.
Plain talk
Straight pricing, honest scope, no surprises.

FAQs
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Tend operates as an Oregon CCB-licensed general contracting business, bonded and insured — the license number appears on every estimate and invoice. Electrical and plumbing beyond simple like-for-like swaps go to licensed specialty contractors, and I'll tell you plainly when that's the case.
What does it cost?
You get pricing in writing before any work starts — flat-rate for well-defined jobs, time-and-materials for open-ended ones, and bundled pricing for honey-do lists. The more you bundle together, the better the value, because you're not paying for separate trips. No surprise line items, ever.
How does the honey-do list actually work?
You send the list through the builder above. I read it, ask any follow-up questions by email, and send back a simple work plan: what I'd do, in what order, for what price, on what day. You approve it, and I show up and work the plan top to bottom. Most household lists come together into one plan — and I'll flag anything that needs its own trip.
Is anything too small?
No — small is the specialty. A single doorknob is a fine reason to get in touch if it's been bugging you for a year. If your list is truly one tiny item, I might suggest waiting until you've got two or three so the visit earns its keep. That kind of honesty is the business model.
How soon can you come?
Usually within one to two weeks, sooner when something is actively leaking or letting the weather in. You'll know the date before you commit to anything, and a scheduled visit is a kept visit — a solo operation lives and dies by showing up.
Do you guarantee the work?
Yes. If something I fixed doesn't stay fixed, I come back and make it right at no charge. I'm building a business on second and tenth calls, not one-and-done jobs.
so… about that list
What’s been waiting on yours?
Write down what’s been waiting. I’ll send back a plan with straight pricing. That’s the whole idea.
